MiMa is an app created for women who are either beginning to experience menopause or are in the eye of the storm. We know that some women go through menopause relatively unscathed, but they are the minority. For most of us, we have a few years of challenges where our bodies and minds refuse to do our bidding and seem to be taken over by aliens.
We do not all experience our time in Hell Gorge in the same way. Not all of us have all of the symptoms. But we do know that the aches and pains, the insomnia, the itchy skin, the mood swings, the brain fog, the digestive issues, the burning mouth, the dry eyes, the rage, the loss of libido, the hot flushes, the night sweats and the epic wind are merely the result of our fluctuating hormones.
As my co-founder and I talked about how to help women overcome all the challenges of perimenopause and menopause, an idea started slowly forming on the blackboard wall of my home office. We knew that more than 70% of women in this life transition suffer from hot flashes. This is the reason we started with this menopause symptom.
